Trogdon Furn. Co. buffet -- any value?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Exchange: A Forum for Antiques and The Arts : One Thread

I have a Trogdon Furniture Co. (Toccoa, GA) buffet and china press. They are pre-Zipcode but I don't know how old other than that. They are mahogany? with some veneered details.

The buffet has three compartments, is about 6 feet long and has slightly curved legs that set the body off the floor by about 20 inches. There are oval inlays on the doors, and oval brass handles on the doors.

The china press is about 6 feet tall, has a middle drawer (with the same oval brass handles), a lower compartent that has no shelf and a glassed in case on top that has two shelves. Immediately behind the glass is a decoratively cut-out piece of wood. and on top of the press is a decorative element that has to curling pieces of wood coming together with a center piece in between them --like two waves about to break on either side of a turret.

I'm sorry that I don't have the technical terms for the specific elements of these pieces, but I hope that I've adequately described them.

Thank you for your help.

Sincerely, Shannon Spencer
