Whitney Houson - Drug Addict & Jew Hater?

There have been consistent rumors about the sleazy lifestyle of Whitney Houston since her marriage to Bobby Brown; a certified low- life if ever there was one. Why do we continue to be amazed when a big personality turns out to be just normal trash?

The word on the street is that Whitney showed up for Oscar rehearsal and couldnt sing a lick and was very zoned-out. Burt Bacarach gave her the boot and replaced her with Faith Hill for the song medley, which IMHO was the undisputed highlight of the Oscar show.

The only reason Bobby Brown is not in prison for the rest of his life is his fame and money. Whitney has allowed herself to sink to his level and she will find her celebrity disappearing quickly if she keeps on this path. You know she had to be totally messed-up to be taken out of the program that her Aunt, Dionne Warwick had a role in.

Who is this Bobby Jones? I thought he was a long-dead golfer.

No matter how "sleazy" her lifestyle, I can't see why she'd marry a dead guy.

Sorry. I'm losing my mind.

So, who is Bobby Brown?

I don't know if Houston was / is doing drugs. But her behavior does sound bizarre. It's a leap but not a big one.

As for the "Jew guy" comment; the Jews are big players in the New York City diamond district. That's common knowledge. Why did she had to point out that he was Jewish? And does that in itself signify anti-semitism? I don't see it.

Fewer domestic disputes.

Best wishes,,,,

Why can't Whitney change her life by using some of aunt Dionne's psychic nutcase friends?

LOL "out of touch"!

I agree "Outta beer". It's ridiculous to imply that she is a "Jew Hater" based on that simple little reference.

It's pretty hard to buy a diamond in New York from a Gentile.

I'm Jewish. Her remark may be reduntant. It isn't the kind of thing one says in "polite company." But I don't view it as anti-Semetic.

So, who is Bobby Brown? A musician? A footballer? A dentist?

-- (losing@my.mind), March 29, 2000.

Bobby Brown was a hot singer at one time and he is best known for the monster number My Prerogative. He has basically retired since marrying Whitney and he appears in the news now and then for this arrest or that. Prior to hooking up with Whitney he was also known to be a major player with the ladies and I doubt if he turned into a one-woman man.

I know Whitney Houston can sing. I've heard her do it. She's good at it. So are a lot of highly paid entertainers.

Remind me. I am supposed to be interested in her marriage, her private life and her miscellaneous personal opinions for what compelling reason?

"Jew guy" is hardly an elegant or even respectful way to refer to someone. Miss Houston is very beautiful and very talented. Too bad that she has such lack of manners, character, and good common sense.

-- Mara (MW@aol.com), March 29, 2000.

Whitney Houston, like her husband, has turned into a serious drug addict and is in the process of ruining what is left of her career. This did not happen overnight and is a well known fact in the entertainment industry. It does seem a shame that such a beautiful and talented person would toss it into the sewer but so what. How about the rest of us that bust our ass to get bywe should worry about this stupid woman who has it all? Have another hit Whitney.

Jesus was a Jew and a guy, what's so bad about that? Hardly a day goes by that a preacher doesn't point this out. So why shouldn't Whitney have the freedom of saying the same thing? Heck, Ladyillogic thought a couple of male posters here were AfroAmerican, does that mean LL is a racist?

Thanks for the info, Sifting

Gee, does that means Jesus sells diamonds in New York? Sheesh, no wonder he hasn't "officially" shown up yet. Once those New York Jews get their hooks into you, it's hard to walk away.

Oy, you told me this diamond was a VVS. It's only a low end VS, you putz! Never Again!!

Jimmy (a fellow Jew, formerly from New York, who's actually a Conservative Christian today. Oy, go figure!)

You are most welcome losing.

Did anyone of you happen to catch documentary of the making of the movie "The Preachers Wife?" Penny Marshall (Laverne of L and Shirley), directed the movie. Whitney used to sing in church choir. While they were doing the scenes where Whitney sang in the movie, Penny actually cried, it was MOST beautiful and moving documentary I've seen in awhile.

It is a shame that her hubby pulled her down. I am not completely blaiming him, she has choices. I just feel its sad, she is so talented and spiritual and deep.

Imagine the pain.

::sigh:: The rough life that rich and famous celebrities have, I tell ya.

{insert dramatic pause here, tear running down cheek}

I agree with those who don't view this remark as anti-semitism. It is a vulgar way to talk about people, on the other hand. And I've been known to be vulgar in private with my Irish husband, I've refered to other Irish men like "I called this Irish guy, you know, whatshisname, to come and fix the plumbing." Or to my brother-in-law, who is Jewish "my daughter is following her aunt's footsteps, she's going out with this Jew kid, Rob" I love both Irish and Jewish people in general.

I think this is just an over-reaction.
