I couldn't wait for tonite's episode, but i was a bit disappointed. I really felt that Dr. Weaver's reaction was the truest and the most moving...but didn't it seem like everyone else's response to Lucy's death was "glossed-over"? And what was the deal with next week's previews? Not even a mention of what the aftermath of Lucy's death and Carter's attack will be??? A bit of a letdown, if you ask me. Without a doubt, the last few minutes of last week's show...showing Carter getting stabbed, and ending with the look on Lucy's face.... Now, that was great tv!!!

i couldnt agree more show was way too intense to change storyline so abruptly.alot of guilt to be dealt with. how will carter cope with how he treated lucy before stabbing?what about partiers?have feeling carrie will be hard to work with for awhile.

Last week was an amazing episode, but so was this one. The only trouble was we knew SO much going into this week's episode, I think. Heck, last week I still thought Lucy was getting shot. I had no idea she's be stabbed and Carter would be involved. There was more of a shock to last week, I think.

As for the emotions being glossed over, I think it was just that everyone was still grasping what had happened. They all know loss, but this was different. I'm not sure they knew exactly how to deal with it.

I hope they continue the story for a couple weeks, though. We need to see Lucy's Mom come in, the funeral, Carter's reaction (we only saw him turn his head. There has to be more there).

I'm more curious as to whether Carter's brush with death might reconcile him with his Grandmother and return him to the gravy train. After all he's going to need a lot of rehab and you can bet his hospital insurance is not the best. I'm hoping Grandma-ma comes to the rescue.

As far as Carter needing funds for his rehab, I'd think that as he was attacked on his job that the employer would be responsible for paying the bills through workers comp if nothing else.

I hope to see some family involvement too...one of my favorite seasons of ER was during Carter's problems with his family and how that played into Anna DelAmico's life too...though I like Lucy a little better. Carter seemed more human back then, and recently with Lucy he has been closed off...I miss the old, not-so-professional Carter. DIdn't Lucy even call him "too closed off for her taste" once, after they kissed? I thought, 'Carter's not closed off?' But he was with Lucy. What's up with that? They went back and forth between being really compassionate about each other, and then not at all like now. I really wish she hadn't died with them on such weird terms. But I guess that will play into Carter's guilt.

I would really like to see some family members of Lucy and Carter too. When Kerry asked for their files for emergency contacts I figured we'd at least get to see Carter's "Gamma". They have a lot of loose ends to tie up with this episode.
