Back in Feb. 1999 at the San Jose Film Festival, Gabriel was present to receive The Maverick Tribute Award along with him who received awards was Rod Steiger who also starred in the same movie as Gabriel, "End of Days". Also there for an award was Jennifer Beals who starred in "Flashdance" and "The Bride".

My hat is off to Gabriel Byrne...may he win other prestigious awards in the future. It's long overdue...
