Just heard today that California 'lost' their computerized criminal records...can anyone confirm this?

If that were true, it would have had to have happened in 52 separate counties independently; I don't think so.

Only one I know of is the DUI records were lost. Son in law got busted on that one and they told the DUI class a week or so ago that all the penalty payment records etc. had been lost due to a computer problem.

Don't know yet what they are doing about it.
