HEAPS OF Y2K FAILURES TODAY on the 6th Jan, 2000. The familiar tune we are seeing and hearing coming from all over the world is this: "Nothing can go wrong. no we're okay... Nothing will go wrong. crash. Everything is fixed...crash..patch.. Now it will work...crash..patch...crash..Now nothing will go wrong this time... crash. So we pick up the dominoe and stand it up, then another dominoe goes down.. CRASH... You're now y2k ready....crash... patch. Now you're compliant really...crash..patch.. For the last time you are ready for y2k...crash..patch..It's NOT A Y2K PROBLEM.. patch..crash..It's nothing to do with Y2K... Crash...crash..crash... System failure has nothing to do with it... Crash.. . crash.. crash.. crash..crash..crash..crash..crash. and so the failures we are recieving sounds very similar to a row of dominoes falling down and IT IS taking other systems down with it setting off more dominoes.

Huh? Be careful of creating patterns where they don't exist.In our high tech world, stuff breaks constantly - every day- with or without Y2K.
By normal standards, this last week has been pretty mundane.
Stuff, breaks. People fix it or work around it. Life goes on.

It would be nice if we could just be innocent bystanders, watching the world crash down around our necks, without it effecting us in our personal lives. However that unfortunatly isn't the case, when enough of the dominoes fall, it will eventually reach our own doorstep, not only ours but the pollies as well. Sad sad sad BWAAAAAAAAAAAA
