Hello, You-All! Have any of you had experience with the use of DE for intestinal parasites in humans and/or dogs? Does it work for tapeworms? Hookworms? Pinworms? What kind of DE? Dosage? ANY INFORMATION would be MOST appreciated. Thanks!

You will need to use food grade de. I'm afraid I'm not up on the subject, but Jan over on the board at http://countrylife.net has a url for de use. She has posted it several times and seems knowledgable on the subject from reading up on it. If you will pose your question to her there, I'm sure that you will get the answer you are looking for. Perhaps someone here will be able to answer it as well.

Only just found Countryside on the net, and just received new computer for Christmas, so new at this. Had heard Carla Emery speak and she had said DE worked for worms in animals. At Christmas, we had lost 1/2 of our new chickens and found out it was worms. Added DE to their feed and no more died. But, must be food grade, and it's wonderful in gardens, however, DO NOT breathe the dust. We wear masks when applying it in the garden. This is KS and the wind is always with us.
