Bids due December 15, folks. Anyone else wonder why the DOD would need a system like this, except for prep for martial law?

Well whatever it's for it's not martial law.

The timing is all wrong. Bid 15 Dec. Bid evaluations, months. Bid letting, around March. Installation around June. Getting bugs out and people trained, August. Oh you thought August 2000! More like 2001.

Probably for US Army or all services. They handle the same kind of problems on base as police do in any city. Ergo the same kind of software and hardware that my and your local police have.

LM

Looks like this one is on a fast track... Posted Dec 9, Due Dec 15.. usually they allow at a minimum 15 days from post date to respond.

Curious as to why base MP's need a photo-based lineup of suspects, the ability to create posters & mug shots?

Maybe your right, tho, seems to only need to link with Ohio LEADS, so appears to be regional, not national in scope.
