Need Victorio replacement part

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

We bought a Victorio strainer through our food co-op about 2 years ago. As we were moving last year, it got little use and the first time we used it this year, we "blew out" the standard screen. It split at the seem. It is stainless steel and we are trying to replace it, but can only find pumpkin,... Does anyone know how to find one? I appreciate any help.

Hi, You can write to the company at Vitantonio Manufacturing Company 34355 Vokes Dr., Eastlake, Ohio 44095. If there is an Amish or Mennonite community anywhere near, they probably have a general store and almost always sell these wonderful machines. I don't know how I did without it. My Amish friend told me for 2 canning seasons I needed one before I finally bought it. I'm glad she was persistant. If this doesn't help e-mail me. I can maybe get what you want and forward it. Good Luck

Victorios are wonderfull but I had a problem.. 300 lbs. of apples and my arm was going fast. Told my partner DO SOMETHING. He took off the handle fownd a nut that would fit the shaft, fownd a socket to fit the nut, added his variable speed drill and WOW we put 25 qts of applesause thru it in 20 min, and did it several times.

Its me again. My arm would fall off with that many apples. We always do several bushels of tomatoes. I have a good arm...it belongs to my retarded 24yr old son who loves to turn things. I can't get them in the machine fast enough to suit him and he has almost been in tears several times when there is no more stuff to smash. God's blessings can be found in strange places. Peggy
