Does anyone know if the upcoming Y2K movie includes the power failing due to Y2k? I sincerely hope it does show this, as I believe the power will not fail 000101, and that this one non-event will deflate all of the hoped-for public panic.

Panic is a funny thing, Andy. Part of the problem with panic is knowing what will set it off and when. The word 'panic' is most often used in connection with the stock market. Stock market panic doesn't bother those less well off until they lose jobs as a result.

I doubt any of us will see immediate panic even if the lights go out promptly at midnight -- which most of us agree is unlikely.
