Chase Manhattan: Confirmation?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

A very important (and somewhat questionable) post leading back to Cory Hamasaki's proprietary site indicated that Chase Manhattan had lost track of 40 billion dollars as of a few months ago, but has now found all but 5 billion (still not chump change). Can somebody confirm this? Is there any press? (Supposedly WSJ reported it.) Seems like an important part of the pre-game show. (Please pass the chips and dip.)

There was some discussion about it on csy2k. I suggest you try a deja search. Search on chase and limit the search to comp.software.year-2000.

Use your "PageDown" key -- there are at least two current related threads as of this post.
