--library or friends puter, like i do. that's two ways. --I'm suspicious of 'virus' alerts. methinks ole king & co. gonna be unleashin a heap 0 media virii towards end of the year. attacks from booga booga land or something....

The virus (bubbleboy) has been made as a theoretical exercise. Just a proof of concept idea really. The virus has not been sent out into the "wild" so to speak.

Of course this will give all kinds of the wrong people the idea to build one themselves.

Expect problems in the future. ?Y2K?

Q: Which anti-virus software company created the bubbleboy virus?

Q: Which anti-virus software company put enough technical details on the web for just about any second year compsci major to write their own verson?

Q: Which softwar company should have their techie-butts sued to high heaven for creating virii JUST SO THEY CAN SELL THEIR DAMN CHECKER SOFTWARE?

While I am on my high horse, 13,000,000 people have had their privacy invaded by the Real Audio Jukebox software. My opinion is the company should give each person a letter of apology and five dollars. Some lawyer take note, good op for a class action suit here. After all they have the E-Mail and (I think) mailing addresses as well as other information collected EVEN WHEN THE USERS SYSTEM WAS OFF LINE. This is a fine example of what happens when marketing makes morals and technowennies don't know the law... God, doesn't any University teach Computer Science Majors about the Privacy Act anymore...

This sort of thing makes me ashamed of my peers.
