PREPARE FOR A HURRICANE??????? OK. I guess I should buy 10 sheets of plywood to cover my windows so that whatever is coming doesn't have an invitation to come right through the windows huh? Is this a dumb question.....?? I would LOVE to have someone ask COMMRADE KLINTON if we should hit the hardware store up for some home protection.

Good point. What is the best way to protect windows?

Adhesive backed, tinted Mylar...gives the glass beaucoup resistance to shattering; the shards are held together by the elastomeric material...It is very tough and flexible...plus the mirrorized kind reflects light back, and its very difficult to see through from the outside.

Just be very discreet. If the situation becomes too rough it is the show off who will be bothered. If one helps another this can't be loud, flashy, or with oneself turning all about to make sure the other neighbors see how "wonderful" oneself is.

Think I am pulling your leg off about that show off syndrome? Just watch mothers with infants or toddlers. Most if they spot someone is watching will start fussing over the child with MANY, and I do mean MANY glances at oneself, to make sure oneself is noting this "Sound of Music" performance.

You don't need boards on the windows. The odds of a discreet person being bothered is slim.

Paula, the odds of being bother by someone called slim, is proportionate to the portions ya got.

Proponent of poor preparations!
