IMF chief to resign 1:20 p ET International Monetary Fund (IMF) managing director Michel Camdessus is set to announce his resignation on Tuesday, a French source told Reuters. The source said that Camdessus, a Frenchman who has headed the Washington-based IMF since 1987, would annonce his resignation at an IMF board meeting later this afternoon in Washington.
