greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

The website listed in this article does not work! Help, am trying to find a source to buy the breeds on the endangered list but am having no luck. Also want to share with you that I have been a reader for past several years, you gave birth to my dream, a homestead, then we relocated from rural Pa. to Atlanta, GA, depressed , my dream seemed even farther away, now 4 years later, we have an owner financed, no down payment, 100 yr old farmhouse and 8 acres with a pond and great country neighbors, dreams do come true, so to eveyone dreaming, never give up!!! I have my chickens, ducks and am looking ot add my milk goat soon, thanks for all the great info and "seeds" that started my dreams, I am havig the time of my life.

Sounds like down home. Try http://www.dairygoatjournal.com/ or http://www.albc-usa.org/ (American Livestock Breeds Conservancy) for some leads on various breeds.
