Having lived in the city so nice they named it twice, I have to correct you... it's f****** New Yawkers!!. lol

This is a good article. If this was all anybody had advocated for Y2K preparation then I doubt thee would have been much, if any, of the flame wars that "preparing" mentions in the previous thread.

It is not conservative, not liberal, but moderate in it's advice. Nothing to get alarmed about, just be sensible and expect some headaches and annoyances.

Nicely put, Frank. In fact, it is so well written, I have emailed it to my in laws and close friends, none of whom have done a single thing to prepare. Maybe that will do it, maybe not.

....and TWO WEEKS of cash!!!!!!!...up from three days! Can banks cover that much demand for cash? Don't most of us only carry at most, about 5 days? It seems the screws are being tightened a little on the poly's denials. This is a reputable news organization uppy the ante for minumum preps. The rush to get prepped will soon hit the stores and banks as more and more mainstream news organizations print articles like this. You can just smell it coming!

E mailed this article to my totally DGI in laws. MIL wrote me back, acknowledging it and saying she'd forward it to my sister in law. WOW most response I have EVER gotten from her on the subject. FAther in law? Said nothing. Friends, no response. My mother in law was here visiting us from Virginia Beach a few weeks back and stayed in the guest room. We made no attempt whatsoever to hide our preps and she didn't say a word about why we would have all that food in that closet and room. (Good garsh, guys, twenty pounds of sugar??? hee hee hee)
