16 year old kid got guns somehow. Barricaded himself inside an apartment and started picking of pedestrians from his window. Not a whole lot of details available yet.

NOVEMBER 01, 11:30 EST Teen Gunman Kills 2 in Germany BAD REICHENHALL, Germany (AP) A teen-age gunman fired at passers-by from an apartment in a Bavarian town today, killing two people and injuring six, police said. The youth opened fire with a large-caliber weapon around noon near the hospital in Bad Reichenhall on the Austrian border, shooting ``at everything that moved,'' a police spokesman said. A man and a woman were killed, and one victim was critically wounded, police said. Random shootings are rare in Germany, and the motive for today's shooting was unclear. The youth, believed to be about 16, apparently fired from his apartment possibly with a weapon taken from his father's collection and was holed up inside, police said. Authorities were trying to establish contact with the gunman and said they could not immediately confirm his identity. It was not clear whether he was still alive or had shot himself. ``There was a series of shots and then silence,'' a police spokesman said. No shots were fired back at the apartment. Bavarian governor Edmund Stoiber sent his armored limousine to evacuate the wounded from the shooting scene. Police sealed off the area around the hospital and sent in sharpshooters. home ] us news ] world ] business ] sports ] weather ] search ] help ] Copyright 1999 Associated Press. All rights reserved. Finetune your intuition. And follow it. Be somewhere else when stuff like this happens.
