OT Missing Boeing 767

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

According to what I saw on the CNN page a minute ago (6:40 AM East Coast) the plane is missing, not confirmed down. Does anyone think it's kind of interesting that it was lost off the radar screens at "about" 2:00 AM? Isn't that the official time of rolling the clocks back from Daylight Savings to Standard?

Good catch lilsparky. Correctimundo.

lilsparky, good point but forget it. The conspiracy nuts have already linked this one to Clinton.

Yeah, it isn't confirmed down yet. Sorry, that's what the idiot on CBS said when they first announced it.

-- Hawk (flyin@high.again), October 31, 1999.

This has all been so tramatic the last week! Officials have promised us, PROMISED US, that planes will NOT be falling out of the sky. And now look. NOW LOOK! Planes are falling out of the sky all over the place. I think we got lied to....I'm going back to bed...

-- Psychotic (y2k@doom&gloom.com), October 31, 1999.

I recall the footage of a low level fly-bye that starts to sheer of the tops of the trees then crashs, I believe that was a 767 whos claim to fame was that it is the most modern computer controled plane in the air. One of the surviving pilots said that the computer fought them so that they cound-not pull-up. So planes do fall from the sky because of faulty computers...---...

Don't worry folks, planes won't fall from the sky, they'll just disapeer!

-- Dolma Lhamo (I'm@nonymous.now), October 31, 1999.

You're right, it's not "confirmed down" yet. It probably just engaged its cloaking device and went to radio silence five and a half hours ago, and has been loitering invisbly ever since.

Moron, I swear. Why don't you amble back over to the Poole Hall?

-- Ron Schwarz (rs@clubvb.com.delete.this), October 31, 1999.

Sorry 'bout that, I mistook you for a troll, asserting the "not confirmed down" thing as something that *means* something.

Too many of 'em around here lately, you must admit.

-- Ron Schwarz (rs@clubvb.com.delete.this), October 31, 1999.

Hamster you fucking moron.

Your perspicacity eludes you as usual.

-- Andy (2000EOD@prodigy.net), October 31, 1999.

Andy2000, why attack me?. Did I call you a bad name?.

Are you saying that this is in FACT a event caused by the Clinton administration and I am to stupid to get it?.

Another in the string of hundreds of bizarre events, orchestrated and perfectly carried out under secrecy by a man who cant even get a "BJ" or chip a few golf balls in the rain without it being front page news?.

-- hamster (hamster@mycage.com), October 31, 1999.

Hamster you prove on a daily basis what a feeble-minded moron you are. Had enough a your shit. Comprende? You're just another in a long line of trollettes on this forum, and a useless one at that.

-- Andy (2000EOD@prodigy.net), October 31, 1999.

ME, a troll?. You are a troll. You spout off worthless crap about Gold and get it wrong more often than not. Now you are doing the Clinton thing, with no proof at all. I must be so wrong because you are so right. The only thing you stand on is tons of conspiracy theory crap.

Of course you are going to curse me when I disagree, the synapses in your brain that control common sense fires when I bring up the possibility of everything not being a conspiracy and it gives you a headache. Maybe if you used more common sense it wouldnt hurt so much when people bring it to your attention.

Back to your wheel little hamster...

Does TWA 800 sound familiar...

Hey, Andy, wait a second....*seriously* Hamster is NOT a troll! I have never known him to be one. I have always thought both of you were pretty level-headed guys. What's going on here?

And hey, I ask this in all sincerity, could the profanity please go away? It doesn't help anything. Please?

After first denying it.
The Pentagon now confirms reports that this plane made a stopover at Edwards AFB prior to departing for JFK.

-- Rainman (rainman@uh-oh.com), October 31, 1999.

ABC News reports the FBI has mobilized for this

-- abcnews.com (same place@800.Kennedy), October 31, 1999.

....And now they are totally denying the Edwards stop over.

Lets just wait a bit for it to get sorted out.

Its either a failure or a bomb by some kind of radical group.

Andy, for you to call anyone a troll is laughable. You are the most disreputable waste of space that pollutes this forum on a regular basis. Beyond your prolific cutnpaste posts you have proven over and over to be a shallow, mealy mouthed little wimp who imagines himself as some kind of leader here. Piss off you little queen.

-- Andy (is@not.dandy), October 31, 1999.

ABC news says debris has been found along with one body in water.

-- Onebyone (susanwater@excite.com), October 31, 1999.

Andy is upset about his "supposed" gold. He is a gay man on government subsidies yet he makes all these claims to gold and intelligence via cut and paste. Get help Andy.

-- Jack (mercer@usa.net), October 31, 1999.

Jack: I'm not here to defend or attack anyone, but what the hell does one being gay have anything to do with anything?

And HOW do you know that? Did he tell you?

I mean, that's it, if Andy is gay, that does it! I am never listening to him again. :-\ (Said with tongue firmly in cheek.)

My God we have a bunch of homophobes here.

Figures.

And just THINK what I could do with a hamster!

Les: "I recall the footage of a low level fly-bye that starts to sheer of the tops of the trees then crashs...". That'll be June 26, 1988: an Airbus A320 at an airshow in France. Try http://catless.ncl.ac.uk/Risks/8.77.html#subj6 for more details.

Am I a fountain of information or what?
