Anyone know the latest with Bruce Webster?

I read Websters book "Surviving Y2K", and in it he says some very interesting things in retrospect. For example, he said that he believed that teotwawki was not a possibility, but then he qualifies this statement by saying something like, "I say this because I believe that sometime in early '99, the government will inform the people of the gravity, and we therefore will not be going into this thing blind" (or something like that). Anyway, does he have a website or something? I would be VERY interested to know his latest thoughts! Thanks in advance. -Orson Wells

I think Bruce is still co-chair of the Washington DC Y2K User Group, and you should be able to contact him via email at bwebster@wdcy2k.org or by visiting their web site at http://www.wdcy2k.org

Orson,

I think that we all have made the mistake of thinking that the governments, local, state, federal, are actually interested in possibly saving peoples lives. Silly us. The short-term preservation of MARKETS is all that matters. Damn the outcome. Politics is most important for politicians. How to win friends and influence people to get the all important vote. The price we will all pay for this lunacy will be frightening ala Halloweenish....
