Can you tell me if there is a value on silver sugar tongs dated back to the early 1700s. There is a stamp "Richmond" on it and there was a letter attatched to them which read "presented to Elizabeth Rice Johnson 1735" and the tongs had her initial engraved in them "ERJ" . I don't know who this woman was or where to look for information on her or this unique piece. she is believed to be from the US but these were purchased through auction in Niagara, Canada.Thank You
