I want to order some food and one person recommended that I read the following site: Link

Apparently this guy had a pretty serious problem. Has anyone else had a problem with Ready Made Resources? This makes me nervous. Will I get my order?

Answers

I have an unfilled order with these people that is now more than 14 months old. They charged my card the day I placed the order. I have given up trying to get it filled.

-- Beware (no@thanks.com), October 22, 1999.

They must have gotten too busy. Every order I have had from them was here in two or three days.Of course that was a year ago. I bet they will straighten this out for you if you give them a chance.

-- Betty Alice (Barn266@aol.com), October 22, 1999.

They actually were given many chances. The owner, Bob Griswold, treated me much as he did the person in the posted testimonial. Lots of promises, but in the end, dishonesty and contempt. At this point all I can do is warn others.

-- Beware (no@thanks.com), October 22, 1999.

Ready Made Resourses get their food from Walton's. Walton's is also slow. I made purchases almos 2 years ago and finally received them after much trouble. I suggest contacting you credit card company now for a charge back.

-- Moe (moe@wtn.com), October 22, 1999.

Got my non-hybrids and more in short order... call Bob and tell him "Clay" sent you, (one of his sponsors), he'll get you your stuff, 'coz Clay is a BIG dude.

Got non-hybrids?

Scam Alert Scam Alert

There is a real need to inform the body out there of the wolves in sheep`s clothing. An event has happened to me--and is continuing to happen to me--that you should know about. This shouldn`t happen to anyone else but I bet I`m not the only one.

In February 1999, I called Ready Made Resources to order a small hand crank generator for camping after hearing it advertised as being available. It turned out it wasn`t available and became backordered. After waiting for it for many weeks, I changed my mind and cancelled the order by phone. I talked to BOB GRISWALD personally--the owner of READY MADE RESOURCES. He told me that it was fine and to consider the order cancelled. About a month goes by and I move out of state. Also about a month later, BOB GRISWALD of READY MADE RESOURCES sends the item anyway to my old location, and charges my debit card without my permission.

The item was sent to my old state at my private mail-box place, where it sat without my knowing about it. I finally find out about it when I get a statement forwarded eventually to my new state, saying that my card was debited on April 26, 1999, and that a couple of checks I wrote bounce because I have $550.00 less in the account than I thought!!!

A call to READY MADE RESOURCES, and they say "Oops, sorry, we'll issue a UPS pickup order right away!" They do, but they send UPS to my new location to pick it up (in the wrong state)--not to where they have shipped their generator to! More calls to READY MADE RESOURCES, and again UPS tries to pick it up from me at the new location!! This happens four times before READY MADE RESOURCES finally figures out where they sent their generator in the first place.

It takes months for all this to transpire and finally in September 1999, they get their generator back. But now, more than SIX MONTHS have gone by and the owner of READY MADE RESOURCES---BOB GRISWALD--- has not yet refunded my money!!! A generator they never should have sent.

BOB GRISWALD told me his generator was returned to him in less than perfect condition from UPS. I told him that it has nothing whatever to do with me since I cancelled the order with him personally, and he sent me the item anyway, AND charged my debit card without my permission. BOB GRISWALD said he did not care that he was in error and that I would not be getting a refund until UPS paid him for the damage they caused to his generator!!!

Does this sound like an honest way to do business? Does this sound like I am dealing with a Christian as GRISWALD professes to be, or does this sound like a wolf in sheep's clothing who is making millions off of people who are pinching pennies trying to get supplies??

Folks, we need to know who we are dealing with. Sounding nice on the phone and then stealing money and lying without any conscience about it, says volumes about the spirit involved with READY MADE RESOURCES and BOB GRISWALD, the owner.

I still am out over $600.00 (including bounced checks) since last April...over six months. I have spent hours trying to have BOB GRISWALD get his mistakes straightened out. I have been responded to with greed and arrogance, once the facade of shallow concern wore off.

Folks, please beware. There are many black hearts out there ready to take advantage of you. I don't believe I made any mistakes in anything I did in this matter. My cancellation they ignored, was done well over a month before the generator was improperly sent. The only mistake I ever made was to order anything from a company as careless, and as uncaring, and as dishonest as BOB GRISWALD and READY MADE RESOURCES.

If you have been injured by Ready Made Resources and / or Bob Griswald, please write and submit your experience ! We will post these here for others to read.

I too ordered from Ready Made Reasources. I ordered a night vision device. They said they had them in stoock and would send them out the next day on a two day delivery that I paid extra for. Weeks went buy. Every time I contacted them they said they would send them the next day, Or on monday. Nothing . I finailly told them to cancell my order and credit my card. Ok they said. I contacted my card provider and even they had a hard time getting the money returned to my account. Three months later a lady from Ready Made Resources called me and ask if I had recieved my order yet. I hung up on her. Nough said. they are NOT what they profess to be, and their adds lie!

I don't order anything from someone advertising to be a Christian. If I see a fish symbol on any business, I run the other way. Too many bad experiences with these type of professed "christians." You can destroy their business by just advertising your experience with them. Maybe you should find out what church he belongs to and contact the pastor of the church to get your money back.

Boy, I read this stuff, and all I can think to myself is, "I wonder if that outfit is related to 'Seeds of Change'?"

-- Ron Schwarz (rs@clubvb.com.delete.this), October 23, 1999.

Ready Made Resources are FUBAR. My order took months, was broken when I got it due to UPS, took several more months to get a credit.

Major Surplus out of CA is a good company. I had two orders from there with no problems. The backorder items were shipped within a couple of weeks and the shipping on backordered items was free.

-- Bill (y2khippo@yahoo.com), October 23, 1999.

watertanks.com (www.watertanks.com) sells everything that all of these other companies sells and at better prices (i.e. new 55 gal barrels $26.95, etc.) - hundreds of items. They now send 2nd day air for the price of ground. Good people.

-- Mack (markmic@earthlink.net), October 23, 1999.

I wish to respond to these comments on my business. Over the last year we have litterally filled 10,000's of orders. WE have made mistakes. However we are working to correct any of them out there. If you have had problems or if we owe you anything please contact us and we will ship it to you. As one person said we did trust Walton feed to deliver our food for us in a timely manner, they did not come through for us. In March of this year we opened our own canning facility and from then until now have largely caught up. As far as non food items we will refund or send anything that you have not received.

The man with the generator will be credited with 7 days of today (10- 23-99). If this is not the case I am sure he will notify this Service. He did order it and we did send it. The company that makes these units is small and it takes time for them to make them. We do apologize for his inconvenience.

Feel Free to contact me at 1-800-627-3809 if there is anything we can do to service you order.

-- Robert Griswold, Owner (robertg@usit.net), October 23, 1999.

Again, this is the owner Bob Griswold the owner of Ready Made Resources. What the gentleman claims about our bounce check, we have never had a bounced check in the years we have been in business. we accept legitimate criticism , and will respond to any one with a problem. you don't need to make up lies about so called bounced checks.

-- Robert Griswold (robertg@usit.net), October 23, 1999.

Hey there Bobby... Lil paranoid bout now? I think homeslice up the _topside_ was referring to how when y'all screwed him outta the cash on his card, some other charges/debits bounced that wouldn'tve if'n y'all didn't stick it in an break it off in him...(you should really *give* the guy the generator after all he's been thru!)

-- Billy Boy (Rakkasan@Yahoo.com), October 23, 1999.

Ready Made Resources is a very reputable family owned business. Out of thousands of orders, I'm sure there are going to be some mistakes. I haven't ordered through the mail order, but I do live 30 miles from Ready Made, & have been there for supplies at least 20 times the last 14 months. I don't know him well, but he is almost always in the store when we are there, & has taken the time to answer any questions we have, & help in any way he can. When I made a $400. purchase & wrote a check, I asked if he needed to see my drivers license. He told me no, that if I needed it that bad, so be it. That's the kind of guy he is. One day when doing inventory, I realized I was missing a 1 # 10 can of dried broccoli I had purchased a couple months before. Last week when we went, I told him that I must have left it behind, & he grabbed another off the display. He didn't aske me for any receipt. They are extremely busy, & if there were mistakes made by this company, they were honest mistakes. You may think I am a friend coming to his defense, but I'm not. I have lurked here since Aug.98, & haven't missed too many evenings. I have posted just a few times, & I'm sure the oldies like "Old Git" & Diane S. remember me. For the record... I started as a 8-9 & remain the same. We are prepping for a 10. Thanks to Ready Made Resources, we have had a steady supply of buckets, mylar bags, oxygen obsorbers, d.earth, books, seeds, dried foods, & many other items. We make the rounds every other week, first stopping by a small Amish store, then to Ready Made, & Earth Stuff (country herb store), on to the Sundry outlet, & back home again. We have made that trip so many times, & will miss it. Sorry this post was so long.

Absorbers is what I meant. oops!

-- Carol Ann (JCclass69@aol.com), October 23, 1999.

Robert--If you would have solved the problems mentioned here long before this post, you would not be here defending yourself. I have worked in customer sevice long enough to know that what the company advertises and says it will do are two different things.

-- Cash Flow (cashflow@cashfloww.xcom), October 23, 1999.

Carol - did you get a phone call from Bob asking you to put in a good word? Just checking. Be honest now.

-- John (inquiring@mind.com), October 23, 1999.

Carol.

Say, aren't you lucky you didn't have to rely on shippment of your purchases form RMR. You wouldnt be prepared by now! I dont think you would be glowing in everyone faces either.

-- Un huh (Right I believe you@ trust me .com), October 24, 1999.

"Uh huh" makes a valid point. It's MUCH more difficult for a store to ignore a customer when they know the customer will be "in their face" after a period of time of not receiving their merchandise. Much easier to do so over the phone. Also much easier to make excuses about how they are "trying their best". They are NOT trying their best. They are trying their best to sell product, not support those who have screwed up orders. While Mr. Griswold has now shown up here and is acting very contrite, the fact is that in many cases he has been asked, even begged, to fix problems and has instead not returned phone calls or email. Being busy is NOT a valid excuse. And credit cards are not supposed to be charged until items have shipped, regardless of intentions.

-- Beware (no@thanks.com), October 24, 1999.

Hey, is this the same Carol Ann that calls me three times a week wondering why I reversed my charge card charges to Ready Made Resources? Why are you shilling here? Just a little dishonest, eh, not disclosing your true relationship with the company (i.e., you are an employee!!).

RMR is really Ready Made Ripoff. They have the nerve to quote the bible, charge your card, not send you merchandise, and not honor cancelations. I have been through all of the above with these clowns, and by the looks of my latest voice mail from Carol, it's not over yet!! Perhaps an inquiry from our state's Attorney General would get things on the right track.

-- Gdog (ksd@wwnet.net), October 24, 1999.

Carol Ann has never been an employee of Ready Made Resources. We do have an employee named Carol but not same one.

-- robert griswold (robertg@usit.net), October 25, 1999.

This has been going on for quite some time in Gary North's Inventory and Barter Items forum. There have been many complaints of slow or incorrect shipments and billings for items not sent, followed by responses from Bobby and his Shills. There are plenty of other places to get your stuff, there's no reason to let yourself get ripped off by a scam artist.

-- (be@careful.out.there), October 25, 1999.

concerning (rakkasan@ Yahoo.com) comment that we charged his credit card. This man paid with a check, we never had his credit card. We could not have billed his card. This is a lie. Again I will accept comments where we have made mistakes. But please don't make stuff up.

-- robert griswold (robertg@usit.net), October 25, 1999.

bob, I don't know who youre refering to but I did pay you--when you wrongly debited my card--for the item I HAD ALREADY CANCELLED MOR THAN A MONTH BEFORE!!! So dont you dare refer to the ripoff as an item that I had ordered. It was an item I had cancelled. You have made millions, so dont come off as some humble family business. Nauseating.

-- joanofarc (inthespirit@neteze.com), October 25, 1999.

How does someone I don't know, know how much I've made?

-- robert griswold (robertg@usit.net), October 25, 1999.

Easy. There are many of us in the business - and we have a very good idea of what your volume is. The grapevine speaks, so to speak. Two stores, a cannery, house, etc., it's not hard to figure out what happened to you. You changed and it's very, very sad.

-- I know (yourpassword@is.broken.com), October 26, 1999.

As with many times the gossip grapevine is wrong. With our canning operation, we lease the building. but ask the question as why we have a canning plant. It was to fill the orders that Walton feed did not get out in time. Again you are wrong on the store issue, We have one store that we least the building. People can come and see us, we're not just a post office box. And since when is it wrong to buy a house, do you own a house? It sound as though there is a lot of envy out there. Also once we relized how far Walton's had back ordered our food we started pulling our advertising, so as to slow down the incoming orders. Over the last year we have worked hundreds of hour over a normal week. We did this to catch up from what was largely a Walton induced problem, promises made and never kept. We made the mistake of charging some orders out before they were delivered. We no longer do this and have not done it for months. The product is only charge the day it is shipped. And as far as we know we have either refunded peoples money or sent them the product. IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE WE HAS OVERLOOKED, PLEASE CALL WE WILL GIVE YOU YOUR PRODUCT OR A REFUND. And with the final issue, we are christian people, we do seek to bring glory and honor to our savior Jesus Christ. We put the scripture referances in our catalog because we believe that national repentance is our only hope as a nation, and yes repentance starts with me.

If you have listened to my radio program over this last year we have addressed these issues on our program and on the Clay Douglas program, he knows what we have done.

A Christian Brother,

PRESIDENT JOHN ADAMS PROCLAMATION FOR A NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING March 6, 1799. 0 As no truth is more clearly taught in the Volume of Inspiration, nor any more fully demonstrated by the experience of all ages, than that a deep sense and due acknowledgment of the governing providence of a Supreme Being and of the accountableness of men to Him as the searcher of hearts and righteous distributer of rewards and punishments are conducive equally to the happiness and rectitude of individuals and to the well-being of communities; as it is to most reasonable in itself that men who are made capable of social acts and relations, who owe their improvements to the social state, and who derive their enjoyments from it, should, as a society, make their acknowledgments of dependence and obligation to Him who hath endowed them with these capacities and elevated them in the scale of existence by these distinctions; as it is likewise a plain dictate of duty and a strong sentiment of nature that in circumstances of great urgency and seasons of imminent danger earnest and particular supplications should be made to Him who is able to defend or to destroy, as, moreover, the most precious interests of the people of the United States are still held in jeopardy by the hostile designs and insidious acts of a foreign nation, as well as by the dissemination among them of those principles, subversive of the foundations of all religions, moral, and social obligations, that have produced incalculable mischief and misery in other countries; and as, in fine, the observance of special seasons for public religious solemnities is happily calculated to advert the evils which we ought to deprecate and to excite to the performance of the duties which we ought to discharge by calling and fixing the attention of the people at large to the momentous truths already recited, by affording opportunity to teach and inculcate them by animating devotion and giving to it the character of a national act: For these reasons I have thought proper to recommend, and I do hereby recommend accordingly, that Thursday, the 25th day of April next, be observed throughout the United States of America as a day of solemn humiliation, fasting, and prayer; that the citizens on that day abstain as far as may be from their secular occupations, devote the time to the sacred duties of religion in public and in private; that they call to mind our numerous offenses against the Most High God, confess them before Him with the sincerest penitence, implore His pardoning mercy, through the Great Mediator and Redeemer, for our past transgressions, and that through the grace of His Holy Spirit we may be disposed and enabled to yield a more suitable obedience to His righteous requisitions in time to come, that He will interpose to arrest the progress of that impiety and licentiousness in principle and practice so offensive to Himself and so ruinous to mankind; that He would make us deeply sensible that "righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people;" that he would turn us from our transgressions and turn His displeasure from us, that he would withhold from us unreasonable discontent, from disunion, faction, sedition, and insurrection; that He would preserve our country from the desolating sword; that He would save our cities and towns from a repetition of those awful pestilential visitations under which they have lately suffered so severely, and that the health of our inhabitants generally may be precious in His sight; that He would favor us with fruitful seasons and so bless the labors of the husbandman as that there may be food in abundance for man and beast; that He would prosper our commerce, manufactures, and fisheries, and give success to the people in all their lawful industry and enterprise; that He would smile on our colleges, academies, schools, and seminaries of learning, and to make them nurseries of sound science, morals, and religion; that He would bless all magistrates, from the highest to the lowest, give them the true spirit of their station, to make them a terror to evil doers and a praise to them that do well; that He would preside over the councils of the nation at this critical period, enlighten them to a just discernment of the public interest, and save them from mistake, division, and discord; that He would make succeed our preparations for defense and bless our armaments by land and by sea; that He would put an end to the effusion of human blood and the accumulation of human misery among the contending nations of the earth by disposing them to justice, to equity, to benevolence, and to peace; and that he would extend the blessing of knowledge, of true liberty, and of pure and undefiled religion throughout the world. And I do also recommend that with these acts of humiliation, penitence, and prayer fervent thanksgiving to the Author of All Good be united for the countless favors which He is still continuing to the people of the United States, and which render their condition as a nation eminently happy when compared with the lot of others. Given, etc. JOHN ADAMS
