I'm looking for the design including instructions on how to build the window box solar heater I remember from the 70s or so. Do you have that design or know where I couls find it? Thanks

I remember that one too. I had friends who added a plastic sort of greenhouse on their south side where there was a doo, (In upstate NY) when the sun was shinning is rall was hot, they ahd a fan blowing into the house.

Try back issues of TMEN. We have it around here someplace, but it's too big a stack to go digging through right now. If you still haven't found those plans, e-mail me, and I will get up some ambition and tackle the stacks.

I built one of these passive solar heaters in 1983 and mounted it in a south facing window. It worked very nicely and the design was addaptable to many window sizes. As I don't have a scanner,I would be glad to mail you a sketch/plan for the one I built. Just contact me via e-mail.
