Why is it that every web site the pollyannas have ever constructed seems to succumb to technical glitches?

The first, "Biffy", locked up my Netscape every time I visited it.

The next, "Debunking Y2K", lost its marbles and became inaccessible for months.

Then, "Debunking the Y2K Hype" appeared, and the jackleg that calls himself a webmaster could never keep it straight.

Now, the newly revived "Debunking Y2K" site is scrambled with posts out of order and crosslinked into oblivion.

And the participants don't even seem to mind anymore. It's as if they're intentionally advertising their cluelessness.

For a group of supposed software experts that claim Y2K will produce no major computer problems, they sure as hell are having a hard time mastering HTML.

You've never played the glad game, have you 'a'?

It works for me. (The situation, not the sites.)

LOL!! ROTFLMAO!!!!

"a", what would we EVER do without you?

That is quite funny about the polly websites. Boy, now more than ever I'll place great weight on their opinions. ROFL!!!

Geez a, maybe the reason we don't make any money off Y2K sites. Michael Hyatt, Ed Yourdon created the forums for one purpose, to make money.

I rarely have ever had problems getting into Biffy other than a few days ago when they switched hosts and several months ago when Idiot Debunker graduated.

The first Debunking Y2K crashed because we were using too much memory and Insidetheweb didn't seem to interested in helping us out.

Debunking the Y2K Hype was created after Debunking Y2K went down about 3 or 4 days after and not "months" as you term. We simply posted on Biffy over that period of time. And it was only a temp since we wanted to get off Insidetheweb.

And the new Debunking Y2K is fine and not hard to follow.

But I guess Y2K reality is still not gripping you yet. I guess maybe when Gary trades Y2K for a new crisis, you will get a clue, probably won't though.

Y2Idiot? Oh, Pat, I'd recognize ya anywhere! Hey, everybody, it's Pat slumming from Debunkie!

Confusing isn't it ? Though ironically enough, PhilG (the technoid brainiac behind our little neck of the woods here) would have to be technically classified as a Polly. From remarks of his that have leaked through at various junctures. Though he's not of the agressive, malignant strain of course.

Beats me.

Because Pollys are idiots and will be dead soon.

This is so funny. 'a', you are more clueless than I thought. FYI, The first Debunking Y2K site and the Debunking the Y2K Hype site are both on InsidetheWeb.com which offers free bulletin boards. Anybody can have one.

What exactly did this "jackleg that calls himself a webmaster" not keep straight? I've never called myself a "webmaster" with regards to the "Debunking the Y2K Hype" site. And unlike the moderators of this board, I know the difference between a moderator and a sysop. In this case InsidetheWeb.com provides the sysop, and the board was essentially unmoderated.

As for Y2K not producing major computer problems. This is simply what the GIs don't get. Y2K has already produced major computer problems for many companies. They're dealing with it now aren't they?

-- Buddy (buddydc@go.com), October 21, 1999.

Karma.

-- lisa (lisa@work.now), October 21, 1999.

a: Oh, you meant Buddy??? Hell, that explains EVERYTHING. LOL!

-- King of Spain (madrid@aol.cum), October 21, 1999.

Is this what they mean when they say "As for Y2K not producing major computer problems. This is simply what the GIs don't get. Y2K has already produced major computer problems..."?

-- Dancr (addy.available@my.webpage), October 22, 1999.

the thought police here are keeping everything "just so".(but how inthe hell they expect the NON-thinking members of StokeOff2000 to be "policed" is beyond me)

Reality will never dawn on the pathetic little souls like freakazoid a@a.a
