This forum has been a big part of my life, and has helped me so very much in many ways. Thanks for starting it Ed, and thanks for keeping it going Moderators.

I will peek in as a lurker now and then, but it's time to say goodbye and thank you...

So many of you will remain in my heart, thoughts and prayers....

typical tired brain...

forgot to remind that email addy is real, but soon will be no more, so if any one wants to stay in touch, write soon, and I'll plug you into a different address...

Lars, burned out and bugging out I guess...

...had a horrible experience on a Christian forum and decided today is as good a day as any to start a low profile...as heated as it ever got on this forum, it never felt bad like that did, I'd rather have @ call me an old hag (I hope your father beats it @, and is with you for a long time to come) than to be blamed for someone losing their salvation (Gilda, I understood before today how rotten people can be, please remember that Christians don't have a corner on that market)...I really have learned so much from so many, and I include many with whom I exchanged heated debate... saying goodbye is making me cry...

I pray you are all safe and well in the days to come...

-- Mumsie (Shezdremn@aol.com), October 18, 1999.

Mumsie,

You have been a forceful voice for what is good, decent, and best. Thank you. So make a little time now and then to come back and set people straight.

Sincerely, Stan Faryna

P.S. Keep in touch with me by email.

-- Stan Faryna (faryna@groupmail.com), October 18, 1999.

Mumsie, you've been one of the best Christian voices around here. I hope you continue to post here occasionally. Please send me your new address; I'd like to keep in touch. God bless you and yours.

-- Elbow Grease (LBO Grise@aol.com), October 18, 1999.

Mumsie

Don't leave us. You are obviously bruised right now. I always liked your posts (and your name!)

-- citygirl (citygirl@idirect.com), October 18, 1999.

Hang tight, Mumsie...you will be blessed, I am sure. Taz

-- Taz (Taz@aol.com), October 18, 1999.

One of the best voices, period. Thanks for sharing, Mumsie, please come back. Today is shaping up to be a true Blue Monday. Black Tuesday tomorrow?

Godspeed, Mumsie.

Be well Mumsie!

Take a "time out" for re-balancing, and come back for the "turn."

Peace and blessings.

Mumsie, the heat here is tension, grief and rage at the loss of a way of life we have all learned to adapt to.

Take a rest, renew your comfort in the Lord, and then come back to add your wisdom.

All too soon, this heated comradery too will be taken from us ...

-- Ashton & Leska in Cascadia (allaha@earthlink.net), October 18, 1999.

Mumsie,

Thanks so much for your wisdom and outspokenness. I've learned tons, both here and on the prep forum. We will need women like you big time on the Other Side of this Mess. God bless.

Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely. The Lord doth build up Jerusalem: He gathereth together the outcasts of Israel. HE HEALETH THE BROKEN IN HEART, AND BINDETH UP THEIR WOUNDS. (Psalms 147:1-3)

Bless you Mumsie!

Take care Mumsie, I have enjoyed your input a great deal. Do drop back in soon.

-- ratt (round@and.round), October 18, 1999.

A heart felt thanks.

And remember do not fear.

-- In His love (follow@your.heart), October 18, 1999.

Mumsie, a simple response: YOU cannot take away anyone's salvation. Salvation is between each soul and our Lord. If someone has lost faith, and is pointing fingers rather than looking within at the thorns in their own heart, that has nothing to do with you or anyone else. Please do not take such an accusation on as a truth. Neither you nor I nor anyone can either create or destroy salvation for another - we have no such power. That is a spiritual dilemma for the individual who is troubled in his/her relationship with God. Just breathe - it's not about you :-)

-- (snoozin@no.more), October 18, 1999.

Mumsie -

Blessings on you for your contributions here and I'm very sorry for the way you were treated in that forum. I had a similar experience in a brief salvo of e-mails with a pastor, who frankly took a most uncharitable tone with someone expressing concerns about Y2K. Lots of worry out there.

Remember:

"Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse does not come to rest." -- Proverbs 26:2 (NIV)

ditto, what snoozin said.

you have a big, soft heart...but please, don't go.

God Speed, Mumsie. You will be greatly missed.

Real sorry to see you bow out, always enjoy what you say.

Take care.

Mumsie

Take care and God bless. You will be missed. You were always very patient with everyone here, even the snot-nosed big mouth kids. I will miss your temperance, your wisdom, your kindness.

And keep your...

Mumsie, maybe you could reincarnate yourself, say as "Mumsie II, the Sequel"?

The sun will come up again tomorrow. Don't let some addle-brained twits deprive you of this outlet and soapbox for your concerns and opinions! For that matter, please don't let some addle-brained twits deprive US of your concerns and opinions! Please?

But, if you must leave us, I understand. Be well. Take care of yourself and all the kidsies, okay?

-- Arewyn (isitthatlate@lready.com), October 18, 1999.

Mumsie -- Thanks so much for all your input. As you should know by all the responses on this thread, you will be greatly missed. Go well and know that we're around if you need us. My e-mail is real. Good luck with prepping and y2k!!! peace to you and yours, Libby

-- Libby Alexander (libbyalex@aol.com), October 18, 1999.

Echoing all the above...Deep thanks, sincere best wishes to you and yours, and a hope that you will, from time to time, drop by.

God bless. Faith

-- Faith Weaver (suzsolutions@yahoo.com), October 18, 1999.

Gosh, Mumsie, I came in late on this and found everyone had said what I would have liked to say. Don't you hate when that happens? Okay, nobody said "useful." You DID make some very useful contributions and not everyone does that, unfortunately. Y'all come back an' see us now, y'heah?

-- Old Git (anon@spamproblems.com), October 18, 1999.

Good luck Mumsie

You shouldn't take the internet to seriously, better to keep the homefires burning because home is where the heart is. Step back and refresh.

Oh ya,,,,,,, there are other forums out there?????? :o)

-- Brian (imager@home.com), October 18, 1999.

Mumsie,

Best of wishes, and much prayer for your and your daughter's wellbeing in the New Year!

If Mumsie thinks she can really leave this forum...Shez dremn! LOL...couldn't resist.

Kiss the Bride for me!

-- K. Stevens (kstevens@ It's ALL going away in January.com), October 18, 1999.

Oh, Mumsie, please don't go!!! You have given so much of yourself that you do deserve a break, but do come back to your friends here. I have never read anything you have written without being edified...and blessed. Your e-mail is with my "keepers" too. As you know, my address is real. I hope to hear that all is well with you and your family, now and throughout whatever lies ahead.

And never ever believe that anything you could have said on another forum could have changed that unhappy person from one who has a relationship with the Lord to one who doesn't!!! Nonsense!!! You are highly respected by all of us here.

"The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense." Proverbs 27:9

[Same Proverb which states "A prudent person foresees the danger ahead and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences." 27:12]

Another doomer bites the dust. When will you idiots learn that I am the all knowing Y2K Pro? Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

-- Y2K Pro (y2kpro1@hotmail.com), October 18, 1999.

Mumsie:

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain - it's only y2k Pro, the Village Idiot. I'll miss you, but I can certainly understand your being burned out. My two sons are still DGI's and they roll their eyes when I talk about y2k. Please keep in touch. This is my correct e-mail address.

-- Scarlett (creolady@aol.com), October 18, 1999.

God Bless, Mumsie.

You are not to blame.

Good Luck and thank you for spending time here with us.

Will

-- Will Huett (willhuett@usa.net), October 18, 1999.

Mumsie,

If you can not take a bit of heat, true or not, over the net without crawling into a hole, how in the world do you expect to survive y2k? We've had our spats, you and I, but I'll be durned if I'll let anyone run me off. You shouldn't either. Stick around, time is short and I think the fun is about to start.

Mumsie

I've been meaning to thank you for an answer to a post I made sometime ago. Be well, Be safe. I'll be looking for you.

Thank you

Rob

-- Rob Carroll (flyingred@montana.com), October 19, 1999.

I am overwhelmed with the kindness (and good counsel) you all have expressed. Thank you so much. Strange how close you can feel to people you have never met. Then again, perhaps we have met in the ways that surpass our average relationships, because we have met heart to heart and mind to mind.

Much calmer tonight after sifting through everything. This thread will be printed and stored in my box of favorite and precious things. K. Stevens is probably right. I'll take a break, start lurking, and maybe zap @ (or was it A?) so I can hear him say one more time..."She's BAAAACCCKK!!"

If rollover is tolerable, I hope we can have a humongous party and all meet somewhere. God bless all you good people!

-- Mumsie (Shezdremn@aol.com), October 19, 1999.

Actually, I think that the problem is Mumsie is planning a wedding!! LOL Be well!

btw, toss me the new e- when you get it.
