We're talking Eastern Time, right? If so, it was the same at 4:30am...

Maybe that's when all the government agencies log on to download the latest posts for analysis? I'm sure they don't wnat to hog all the bandwidth at the server during prime time. ;)

FLAME,

My understanding, from Phil Greenspun, is it's an older server at MIT, and sometimes it has problems that the tech guys fix when they get in.

Who knows?

Just try again.

Just hit refresh a few times.

It's getting ridiculous. Even though we're having a busy stock market day, I doubt there are more than 1000 people trying to get the forum. It takes over 100 reloads sometimes. It has go to have something to do with the amount of material on the site, which could be substantially reduced.
