New Year's Eve online gatherings?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I was recently made aware that there will be some online New Year's Eve "gatherings," though I do not know the URLs. An URL would be helpful.

Thanks.

Regards,
Andy Ray

I would assume it to be a chat line of some sort. Obviously we can communicate this way (TB2000 forum), however, time will be precious and nobody needs to get frustrated trying to convey themselves anticipating feedback.

Feelings hurt because you were'nt invited?

What's a girl to do all dressed up and no place to go?

Sorry I won't be able to make it to the party.

No beaujolais nouveau for me this new years. Darn it.

Looks more like Maxwell House instead.

Sorry, haven't been looking for any, as I will be doing a 'command performance' at the shop. (Trying to fix over night what we couldn't get done in 6 years. Siiiiigh).

Yea "just another", it kind of puts a new light on the concept of employment doesn't it?

I'm thinking maybe a truck farm concept may work out real good next spring.

What's the betting that even a minority of us will be able to access the TB2000 server anyway?

When I try and sign in during lunch at work (noon-ish EST) I more often than not get the busy server message. What's it going to be like about 11pm EST on 31 Dec?
