Now, what about their operations in other states?

And,

Are the smaller players getting this message?

"How will your due diligence measure up in court?"

Just curious, you know?

Hey Critt, how are things?

I hope this move sets an example for the entire industry! Actually, change "I hope" to "I pray".

Critt,

Well's that's 4 companies out of the 66,000 that the Chemical Industrial Safety Board identified in testimony before Congress last March. Altogether, there are apparently some 278,000 sites that manufacture, treat, transport, or dispose of toxic chemicals; and roughly 85 million Americans live within 25 miles of such sites.

Maybe the good news you've shared with us will convince a lot of people to move to West Virginia

I live in Virginia about 100 miles east of the W. Virginia border and work about 65 miles east of the border. I'm glad at least that I won't have to worry, initially, about strange colored clouds coming over the Alleghany Mts!

Well that's a long way from Texas; but the news actually made me happy! A few sane minds...and some of the big guys no less. Any visible sanity makes for a good day. Cheers!

The South Houston OSHA office was trying to get safety commitments from the petro-chemical plants in the Houston area earlier this year. No word yet on their request.

It is a massive area of pipes and cracking units and other stuff. 1000's of acres of chemical plants and refineries.

I think it's the biggest in the world or at least outside of Saudi.

A Y2K wonderland.
