Having a real bad day that could get worse, or significantly better.

Someone close to me is five minutes away from applying for a critical business loan.

Good thoughts and prayers please?

Thanks so much!

Hope the business is something that will survive what is coming. Good luck.

Well, at least have him/her shoot for unsecured/signature.

Or use accounts receivable/inventory for the collateral.

King,

It's "low tech" so it might. Not a "depression proof" industry like groceries or gas stations, but close.

The larger question is what are we going to do if we don't get the loan?

That's the question worrying me right now.

Thanks!

(And, just so you know, King, I'll always think of you with a little smile whenever I see mud from now on.)

ilurk,

Prayers, yes. Good thoughts? Well, other than hoping things turn out OK, there's not much that could be offered, especially nothing in terms of suggestions. Not enough info, and not enough minutes.

Good luck!

You guys are great.

Thanks so much.

I'll post back when I have news.

(I'll either be accompanied by a box of Kleenex or an uncorked something or other)

Be positive! Our prayers and thoughts are with you......

ilurk--What do you do if you don't get the loan? Go to another bank, and another until you get the loan. Don't give up, think positive. Good luck.

My prayer is not only for the loan, but for success of the business venture!

I hope you have sunshine and rainbows in your future. Remember that When God closes a door, he also opens a window.

Hey great idea. Apply for a nice big loan a few months before a potentially enormous financial collapse wherin he/she will most likely never be able to pay it back.

Your friend doesn't need good thoughts or prayers. Your friend needs a whack on the head with a two-by-four.
