Everything2000.com Features New Year's Eve Events, Runs,

Babies, Weddings and Y2K Warnings

Can't decide how to spend an unusual New Year's Eve? Why not try the world's largest midnight run in New York City, or be the first on earth to see the dawn of 2000 from a hilltop on New Zealand's Pitt Island or do the Milly in Chicago.

Thursday, September 23 marks the beginning of the 100-day countdown to the year 2000 and event producers are rushing to finalize New Year's celebrations around the world.

Everything2000.com (http://everything2000.com) recognized as the premier source for millennial and Year 2000 information now offers "Millennium Unusual" and the most comprehensive list of New Year's Eve events, entertainers, mothers-to-be, midnight runs and millennium weddings available anywhere.

The Everything2000.com Millennium Unusual Line-up includes:

-- Millennium Runs -- Milleni-Moms hoping to have the first baby --

Millennium Wedding section -- New Year's Eve Concerts -- First Light Events -- New Year's Eve Luxury Extravaganzas -- Thousands of Millennium related trademarks -- On-line survey of New Year's Eve trends and Y2K issues

"There are some very imaginative event planners around the world producing one-of-a-kind extravaganzas," says John Locher, publisher of Everything2000.com.

-- Taos, New Mexico - psychics plan to communicate with a well-known

ghost. -- Giza, Egypt - tuxedo clad men and women in evening gowns will

ride camels to a millennium symphony at the Great Pyramids. -- Great Britain - the countryside will be lit up by thousands of

torchbearers. -- Prospect, Kentucky - digital time capsule of messages beamed into

outer space. -- London, England - "River of Fire" will speed along three-mile

stretch of the River Thames at 1,240 mph, creating illusion of

continuous 200-foot wall of flame.

"Midnight January 1 may wind up as the most popular moment in history ever to get married," says Locher. Plans call for marriages on the International Dateline, a mass midnight wedding in Bangkok Thailand, and a Washington DC hotel is offering a $100,000 millennium wedding and honeymoon package.

Everything2000.com also has an international list of Milleni-moms with New Year's due dates and their stories of anticipation. One of the Milleni-moms, Ashrafeen Nisha Rizzo of Nadi, Fiji lives adjacent to the International Dateline and has a good chance of giving birth to the world's first millennium baby.

New Year's Eve concert information is also available from Barbra Streisand's $13-million, one-woman show in Las Vegas to popular local bands.

On December 31, 1992, I lay in the hospital in a horribly painfull labor. The doctor announced at 10:30pm that they needed to do a C-section. At 11:15pm they were wheeling me to the operating room. At 11:50pm they were about to pull the baby out, when the doctor looked at the clock, and asked me if I'd like to have the first baby of the New Year? I was groggy and frightened, but I managed to shout, "Screw that, I want the tax write off!" Jacqueline was born at 11:58pm Dec.31, 1992. She saved me $1,500 in my 1992 taxes. :) To all those potential millenium moms out there, I say TAKE THE MONEY! (But watch out, you get hit with a second insurance deductible the next day, on both of you)

200 foot wall of flame. I hope that they don't see in looking backwards, too (or in L.A. for that matter).
