Is this like the experts who "feared" computer problems because of "9999"?

While I can't put a link to it, I read somewhere about six months ago that supposedly some of the security guys in the Feds track viruses as they appear and have found 146 (the number I remember) set to go off on the rollover. That struck me as (a) logical, and (b) problematic. The rollover does look like a computer hackers chance for 10 minutes of fame.

At my firm, which does much government contract work, our security department permitted me to have 15 copies of our Security Newsletter, an 8-page document, for my church's Y2K Committee/Vestry.

In it were the fears and knowledge of various agencies, such as FBI, CIA, Pentagon, that hackers are bragging that they are set to strike at rollover, viruses are scheduled to be unleashed, and terrorists are expected to take advantage of the confusion as well.

All of this will only compound an already dicey situation. Be prepared!
