Value of graphascope and glass plate paintings/prints

greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Exchange: A Forum for Antiques and The Arts : One Thread

I have a graphascope simialar to the one pictured here http://northshore.shore.net/~jim/wpicpge26-25.html but it is larger in dimensions. How much is it worth?

The more interesting part is the glass plates that seem intended for use with this device. I have many of them. Some are in a series one dipicts a bull fight with spanish captions , it seem to be hand painted on clear glass. These are about 2 x 8 inches long. I have several other plates (about 2.5 x 5 inches) that appear as if they are screen printed on a glass plate , very detailed and colorful, the painted area is within a circle on the plate. I have contacted mueseums and antique appraisal people but no one seems willing to help. What are these glass plate prints/paintings, I would be willing to photograph them and send pictures if anyone is willing to help me.

Please help , I have been trying to find out for over a year and the curiousity is killing me. I am located in Wisconsin. Call if you like 414-703-0592.

Thank you.

Scott
