I really hate to slow you down when you get on a roll, but some things do need pointing out now and then.......

It is really irrelevant claiming that '.--your blood won,t be on my hands' i trIEd to WARN-YOU.'.........Under the new covenant, nobodys blood is on anyones hands, whether you warn someone or not....IRRELEVANT.........

The whole point of Christ's death and resurrection is that HIS blood was shed so that 'no blood would EVER be on your hands, or anyone elses hands for that matter.

You handle God's word rather strangely and in doing so tend to lead people away from seeking God. Let me simplify this.

Think of the Bible as a recipe for making cookies. It goes into great detail about the trials and tribulations incurred while making the cookies, explains how the flour was mixed in with the eggs and the milk, how messy things were in the process but how wonderful and tasty the finished cookies are. All you have to do is to eat the finished cookie! And God promises that one day, somehow, everyone will eat of the cookie that was made for them.......

In contrast, although the cookies are FINISHED, you are still determined to mix the eggs, flour and milk together. Your reasoning is that the Bible tells us that they need to be mixed together. True, however it also tells us that that has ALREADY been done.

No ones blood can any more be on your hands than the milk and eggs could be on your hands in my story, because they have already been baked into the finished product.

If you must speak, tell others how good the cookies are instead of advocating that they need to make their own and if they don't they will be tormented forever.

Al....one last little tidbit for you.......

When the main tenet of Christianity is that Jesus Christ was the COMPLETE FINAL sacrifice for the sin of the whole world, and the sacrifice of animals for sin would be a COMPLETE AND UTTER ABOMNINATION to God, WHY would God in any way want the temple to be rebuilt???????

Perhaps it will be one day, but it will in no way be what God wants.

The temple was torn down in 70AD and was the final straw in the death of the old covenant........your desire to see it rebuilt indicates that at the moment you would be far more comfortable in the Jewish religion. YOu may want to seriously consider converting to Judaism as your belief system is much closer to that than it is to Christianity.

Al, Craig is right. Jesus fulfilled the law through his death and resurrection. It is by Gods Grace that you are saved,not by works,lest any man should boast. I am a christian and while I believe your intentions are good, I believe you are having a negative effect for the kingdom of God. A few weeks ago I posted here facts on the top 12 earthquakes by magnitude this century.....10 of them were in the 1900-1949 period and only 2 were in the 1950-1999 time frame. The evidence CLEARLY does not show an increase in earthquake activity however Al is so brainwashed into the 'last days' mentality that he will accept any evidence that seems to support his position and IGNORE all the evidence that shows the flaws in his position.

We have always had wars and disasters and will continue to have them, some years more serious and some years less serious.

All these signs describe things that have been happening for millenia Al........that's the point, there is simply nothing unique about this time in history....simply a continuation of what we have experienced for millenia.

Some things are literal and some things are symbolic. Some stories are true and some are parables (stories). What is CLEAR is that whatever events were being described, they were events that would SOON happen.

Here are some clear scriptural references that point to the time frame of what Christ was referring to:

Matt. 10:23--Jesus said He would return in the lifetime of His disciples.

Matt. 16:27-28--Jesus said He would return with His angels to judge all men before every one standing there died.

Matt. 24:29-34--Jesus said He would return in the clouds with His angels--in that generation. Acts 3:19--Peter said Jesus would return when all the Old Covenant prophecies were fulfilled. If the Old Prophesies have not been fulfilled, the Old Covenant is still in effect. (Matthew 5:17-18)

Romans 13:12--Paul said "the day is at hand." That was said 1900 years ago!

1 Cor. 7:28-31--Paul said "the fashion of this world is passing away," and "the time is short." Again, this was stated 1900 years ago to that generation. Hebrews 9:28, 10:37--The writer said Christ would appear a second time for salvation and then asserted "in a very, very little while He that will come, and will not tarry." Is 1900 years a "little while?"

James 5:7-9--James urged his readers to be faithful "until the coming of the Lord," he says "The coming of the Lord is at hand," and "The judge is standing right at the door."

1 John 2:15-18--John said the world was passing away and "it is the last hour." Again, the last hour was 1900 years ago!

Revelation--this book says no less than TEN times that its predictions "must shortly come to pass," were "at hand," were to happen "quickly," there would be "no more delay," etc., etc.

Al, you need to study this for yourself.........and stop constantly repeating scripture verses WAY OUT OF CONTEXT in a spirit of fear.

RE the Nostradamus quatrain in question:

My understanding is that when you remove the apostophe from the term translated as "of terror," you get "paymaster" (d'affrieur - daffrieur, or close to that. In the idiom of medieval France, a "paymaster king" is an appeaser, one who PAYS OFF A THREATENING ADVERSARY. He comes from the sky - as in Air Force One landing in Beijing, for instance.

The original publication of this quatrain has no apostrophe; subsequent translations repeated the mistake. Some Nostradamus scholars have tried to impress this upon the public, but the media blares "KING OF TERROR!!!!" because they're trying to sell media.

Regardless of whether Nostradamus was or was not a prophet or seer, I believe this quatrain has clearly "come true."
