Thanks to all of your who responded to my question re: how to thoroughly clean out plastic buckets. New question. Just how reputable is Safe Trek Foods (in Bozeman, Montana)? They have a dehydrated food special going on and I'd like to know if they are reliable and trustworthy? Would appreciate a quick response, special is only through Monday the 19th. Thanks!!

I'm sorry I didn't see your message until the 21st so it probably is too late to do you any good. However, my experience with SafeTrek so far has been good. I got my supplies through a dealer in Minnesota but they were shipped directly from SafeTrek and came quite quickly, about a week after the order was placed by the dealer. The dealer's website is www.stpaulmercatile.com. I was able to view his prices on the computer. He had a special testing packet with about 16 small samples of various SafeTrek foods, which I found helpful in deciding what to order. My sister & I rehydrated, etc. and did a taste testing. The cost of the test packets was refunded when I ordered ($15). This was back in June, so I don't know what the lead time is now. Everyone has to decide for themselves what is a reasonable price but I thought they were competitive with other national companies and when I ordered they didn't have the backlog that the other companies did. The proprietor of St.Paul Mercantile, John Squires, is very pleasant and helpful and returns your calls even when it's long distance.
