question on Compsys2000 newsgroupgreenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
Ever since I changed servers I have been unable to reach cs2000 news group. I know I am not saying the name right, but it is the famous geek home of most GI's in tech field. If my server does not have it listed, what can I do? I use Netscape to access my newsgroups. Anyone know what I need to do to reach them?

It's comp.software.year-2000.You can access it via Deja. I find it very awkward doing it that way, though.

LoraBy far the best way to search the News Groups is from Infoseek
Infoseek Advanced Search: Usenet Power Search
And here is a link that I set up that brings up the most recent of the posts. A hundred show up at a time and there isn't all the clutter that is on Deja News. The only drawback is you can't post on the newsgroup.
Deja.com - GO Network Search Results Power Search Results: "~g comp.software.year-2000"
PS For the most part I like it here much better. :o)

Thanks very much to you both, these links work great. I do not post on that newsgroup, so this is going to work just fine. I like it better here myself, but like to check it now and then. Thanks again.

You can post to the groups by sending your post to: mail2news-19990919-comp.software.year-2000@anon.lcs.mit.edu You must change the date manually.
