What you seek already exists, at http://www.freerepublic.com/

Of course, freerepublic honors Tom Delay, the "pesticide" man and bob Barr. Yes lets keep our god given rights to make temik, the pesticide that killed 2800 at Bhopal.

Well there are many different points of view at freerepublic. Keep an open mind, take what you like and leave the rest.

Sand M., if you find freerepublic too conservative (but remember, there are many points of view posted there, including anarchist types, who in other contexts would be considered "left wing"), you might wish to scan the very interesting Z-Net site (full participation requires registration, but many interesting articles on the site). http://www.lbbs.org /ZNETTOPnoanimation.html

Other interesting sites with active dialog/articles/fora on gun control and other N.W.O. topics include those listed below. If all or any of these is too "right wing" for your taste, don't rant about it, just go hang out on the z-net forum, the URL for which is in my posting above. It is also fun, and has many good Chomsky links.

Sorry I almost forgot ANARCHY in our OWN BACKYARD:

I think the large number of posts relating to Waco and others of this sort is in a way natural to the situation. Someone who is willing to subscribe to conspiracy theories where our government is the bad guy (NWO, etc) is much more likely to consider a very negative outcome of Y2K, and perhaps to be more "vocal" about it. For someone to cross the line into "getting it" about Y2K opens up that person to consideration of these other possibilities also.

But, since there are many other forums for this type of discussion I think we could do with a lot less of these OT threads. If a new forum here on greenspun's lusenet is needed to do this, then I would vote Yes. Then there would then be a place to refer OT posters to. And I might even drop in to lurk occasionally.

The chemical at Bhopal was methyl isocyanate. Temik may be the name of the finished product, I don't know. That same year there was another release of methylisocyanate in West Virgina, the hilly terrain contained it and no one was killed although many were sickened.

Dontcha just love imbedded chips?

If we spinoff waco/gun control to a separate forum, what would be left to talk about here?
