New and Improved Jim Lord Site

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Just a head's up, I don't know if this has been posted or not, but Jim Lord somewhat redesigned his site. Some new stuff is up, including a (password protected) discussion forum and an update under the "What's New" section. Apparently, Jim Lord has found some documents, including the formal DOD Contingency Plan Guidance that flatly contradicts the Koskinen/Navy explanation.

Probably more telling is that one document actually gives the criteria for the "likely to fail" scores. Apparently, the score "Occurence is improbable" (1) means a 0-40% probability of failure. Remember all those "1" scores on the new spreadsheets? Beginning to look pretty grim. I know I've been harping about the June document, but this info is probably even better. Hopefully it will be up soon.

I went to Jim's new site but found no mention of a password discussion site. Did I miss it?

Taz

It is on the top menu bar with "What's New", "Downloads" and "Forums" Click on Forums and you will need to register (name, e-mail, username, password).

Hope this helps.
