FLAME,

I heard about this from the Jim Quinn radio show. I think he said the information came from Harrisburg to all the police stations. Quite interesting I'd say. Quinn has many links concerning Y2K. Maybe he put the info that he has on this on his site. My sister is married to a police officer, maybe I'll get him to find out what he can. Although he is like a brother to me, he thinks I'm a nutball for being concerned about Y2K. At least I'll know my sister may be taken care of. BTY, I also heard awhile ago on Quinn's show that the NG was going to be doing the same by having their families set up in the armories and such. I'll be looking for more info on it.

makes full sense to me. If TSHTF, what cop, NG or whomever, will want to leave their families to riots, looting, no heat or water- whatever? If they won't leave their families, no way to get them out on the streets to work. solution: provide in advance for the families- emergency shelter, food, water, etc- so the cops or NG can feel they are in safe hands and go out on patrol or whatever......(it DOES at least show some thought on the parts of the higherups in command in these areas...)

I work for a police department in the west. We have emergency plans in place for problems, but I will assure you, we are not setting up protected camps for our families. Should ShiHitTheFan, our families would be protected by any means possible.

Families in "protected areas" could also be thought of as H-O-S-T-A-G- E-S too. Sounds American really is going the way of a communist country; fortified compounds, rations, comforts, etc. for security forces while their families are held somewhere to insure their idividual loyalty.
