A friend of mine has been hacked and wonders if the following folder is normal.

In the Registry Editor is a file called HackIniFiles.

Is this just a wierdly named MS file?

To get there go to Run (in the Start menu) type "regedit.exe" Use the find command in the Registry Editor to look for HackIniFiles.

Thanks!

I am not a windows guru, but I have a HackIniFiles entry, and my system works OK. I notice there is a QTW.INI entry under it, so maybe it has something to do with QuickTime for Windows.

Checked my registry, no entry found.

just thought I'd post to add to the FUD factor
