zzzzzzzzz,

It should be noted that the following EOs you listed were revoked or seperseded 20-30 years ago: 10995 -- revoked in 1970 10997 -- revoked in 1969 10998 -- revoked in 1969

10999 -- revoked in 1969 11000 -- revoked in 1969 11001 -- revoked in 1969 11002 -- revoked in 1969 11003 -- revoked in 1969 11004 -- revoked in 1969 11005 -- revoked in 1969 110051 (I presume you meant 11051) -- revoked in 1979 Why didn't you bother to present only EOs that were actually still in effect?

Readers,

Please do not be misled by zzzzzzzzz's false and misleading statements about EO 12919. See the actual EO text for yourself at http://www.pub.whitehouse.gov/uri-res/I2R?urn:pdi://oma.eop.gov.us/199 4/6/7/20.text.2

EO 12919 says not a single thing about bypassing the 25th Amendment (the one added in 1967 about nominating a new Vice PResident when there's a vacancy, and about what happens when the President is unable to discharge his powers and duties). See for yourself. Then ask yourself, "Why did zzzzzzzzz claim that stuff about bypassing amendments was in there, when it's actually not?"

Here's an EO you want to remember:

EO 12938

Your right on the money Bill Clinton will test the Constitution and Americans will see that ethics matter. The king and Queen will take their throne. But if history is to be repeated many great civilization have been tested midway.

Paula Gordon, Part 4

Yes, this is a MUST-READ. Paula is too nice on Clinton, BUT she does understand the crucial importance of Preparing For Y2K.

People, I have one point for you about so-called "Executive orders". Where is the authority given in the Constitution for anything like this?? 'Cause if it is NOT in the Constitution, then the Federal Government cannot LEGALLY/LAWFULLY do it.

IF/When any of these "Executive orders" are applied towards me, those attemping to enforce them better be armed, in greater numbers, have the drop on me, and feelin' real lucky :) Even then, I'll at least get my "honor guard" to the pearly gates.

Brent,

Executive Orders (EOs) are simply a particular category of order issued by the President.

As this country's chief executive, the President issues orders as part of his job, just as the executive at the head of any other organization does.

The claims some people make that EOs have some special power to amend, suspend, or otherwise change the Constitution are just plain false.

You can get information on EOs issued since 1960 at Federal Register - List of Executive Orders at http://www.nara.gov/fedreg/eo.html

You can read the actual text of EOs issued by Clinton at The White House Library at http://library.whitehouse.gov/

The Clinton administration was the first to place extensive information on-line for public access, so it's less convenient to track down the actual texts of EOs issued by earlier Presidents, but you can find all of them in printed copies of the Federal Register, available at many major public libraries.
