Does coleman fuel and kerosene need stabilization?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I know about Sta-Bil being used for gasoline, but wondered if it is needed for Coleman fuel or kerosene? If stabil is not used for these, what products are? How long will they last without it?

Some info on these fuels here -- don't recall anything about stablization being necessary:

Kero needs to be dried, with Pri-D, so it doesn't mold. Coleman fuel (or camp stove fuel) in original can without opening will keep a LONG time, and still work in the stove or lantern, just shortens the life of the generators, which you DO have SPARES of, RIGHT????

If you keep the Coleman fuel cans unopened, they have a very long shelf life--years and years.
