I've posted the updated Navy spreadsheet in HTML

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Some people have complained in another thread that they couldn't get the updated Navy spreadsheet from Steve Davis' site. If you can't, you can try and see if it works from here:

http://www.cbn.org/newsstand/y2k/insights.asp?file=navy.htm

It's in HTML, not requiring Excel.

This is the new, more "moderate" version. Hopefully, it will be easy to download and read (but it may take some time- be warned).

I also posted Koskinen's reply & Ed Yourdon's remarks from the forum yesterday.

The CBN site is running unusually slow at the moment, so be patient if you want to get this document. Maybe try later or something. I've already gotten feedback that the information is very readable.

If the link in the above post doesn't work, just go to

http://www.cbn.org/newsstand/ y2k/

and click on the "Latest Navy Y2K Survey" link.

By all means, rush to the Navy report. They did so well at Pearl Harbor, how can anyone question their foresight?

Pearl Harbor ? But they sure kicked ass at Midway.

Thanks, Drew! :-)

Before the Polly's start dancing in the street, be sure to check all the 3's (Failure likely) in the area of water and sewage. Mine home town is listed as partial failure likely for water and sewage.
