Question on Plant Explosion counts??

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Ok, I'm curious as to what the count it now. I remember seeing a report that showed the number of explosions by year from the 80's to present, a couple of months ago. It seemed (even without the electric utilities in South America that blew up last year which were omitted on that report) that the count was up signifigantly. Does anyone have the latest stats including the Citgo and Calgary blasts? Please include all chemical, electric, oil refinery, substations etc. and please include North and South America.

Thanks for the link Chris-- Man I can't get over the increase in 99. It must be 3 fold just the first six months. These fires burn so hot I don't see how anybody could derive a reason why they started but with this kind of increase this year I would agree it looks like the leading edge of something big!

I'm the guy compiling that list, and I had tried to find info about the South American explosions, but came up empty. I had heard about them somewhere, but couldn't find the refererence. My list is behind by a couple of weeks, I will try to get it caught up this week, as soon as I finish a couple more printable flyers. Where is that clone when I need him. . . .
