Model Railroader Article: Hardeeville Depot

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ACL and SAL Railroads Historical Society : One Thread

Back in the 60's, Model Railroader printed an article about constructing an O'scale depot. The model was based on the ACL's Hardeeville SC depot. Does anyone have more specific info about this article such as the article name and date and issue it was published. Thanks. Buddy

The February 1961 Model Railroader had that article. it is not a construction article, though. It was part of their "Railroading As You Like It" series. The O Scale Hardeeville depot was built by Lawerence Myers of Chester, PA. The article is two pages, mainly photographs, one a close-up of the agents window and a full page overhead shot. There is no mention of this depot being ACL! If you like, I can send copies. Just let me know your address.
