Let's suppose y2k is bad enough to mess up the justice system (which, from what I gather, "fasten your seat belts"...

I have a lawsuit pending for a minimal amount of damages owed to me in District Court. Before this case goes to court or is settled, or something in between (it is NEVER settled or NEVER goes to court)whichever comes first, we are still incurring legal fees. After y2k are we still responsible for paying the preliminary legal fees even though we never got our "day in court" in order to collect "lawyer's fees" from defendant?
