What's changed?

"Those are the three points. The code is broken. We have a deadline. And we're not good at delivering on time."

This little quote was made June 12,1998 by Peter de jager What's changed since then? Other than this quote by IEEE.

"If an organization makes all of its systems "Compliant, it does not mean that that same organization will not experience failures causing harm to itself and other organizations".

Lethargy is a terrible thing, but oh so human!

KoFE,

Actually, that would be Dave Butz.

Now, back to Y2K...

Eveything and nothing. MacClinton is still holding his finger in the wind (smeared with "special" sauce or ketsup). Lots of remediation projects have been started. The press is slowly beginning to wake up to reality. The guv. is funneling money into militay types to put the boot to the necks of anyone who becomes unruly over y2k fallout. Business and oganazations of all flavors are developing contingency plans to deal with "projected" unidentified failures. Just another day at the office.
