AT&T Worldnet evidence -- do not delete

-- OutingsR Us 2 (another@onehere.yar), July 05, 1999.

JBD - I can understand that individuals may choose to believe, one way or another, what may happen at the beginning of next year. I believe that the majority of those that have chosen to prepare, for whatever reasons, have their minds made up concerning preparing. I feel certain that poking fun, criticizing, antagonizing, etc. will accomplish absolutely nothing positive, nor will it change anyone's mind on preparing. I speak truthfully when I say that I have no idea what the first of January may bring. I make no attempt at predictions.

As far as myself, I have 2 sons and a wife that I feel I am responsible for. I know that all of them look to me for protection and well being. Whether the evidence available shows that something may happen or not, I am sincere in making sure that they will be ok, whatever the future may bring. Nothing nor no one will stand in my way of that.

I can see where this forum may be used for debate over y2k issues and I think it is only fair that both sides are allowed to express their opinions or give evidence. It is certain that some may take a different approach in trying to show their side of the issue. It is also certain that those approaches are going to draw different types of responses.

An attempt is being made to give those that are serious about preparing (for whatever reasons) a place to share ideas. I am quite sure that some ideas may appear to be way out in left field or very extreme. Nonetheless, a preparedness site can be benificial to those that feel the need to prepare.

As rediculous as a preparedness forum may sound to you, I'm asking you, man to man, to please refrain from antagonizing people who feel a sincere need to to prepare for themselves, their families and/or their friends. I can assure you that there are many, many individuals who are preparing with the utmost sincerety in their hearts. Any type of harrasment will accomplish absolutely nothing positive for these people. Please take into consideration, those that are preparing with the best interest of their loved ones in mind, before making posts such as this or similar ones.
