Debunky is not better than the TB2000 they criticize so much

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I posted two sarcastic comments to Doc Paulie's post and one was deleted. Don't know why, and obviously can't prove it now that it is gone.

They have no scruples.

how terrible is wisdom when it brings no profit to the wise

just, was it recognizably sarcastic. sometimes people have a hard time identifying sarcasm. but i digress. why would you want to intentionally be sarcastic. you know it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile.

a happy faced kiss to ya.

Because DeBunky is nothing but sarcasm laced with insults. It seemed fitting to post it over there. Why are you so defensive of Debunky corrine 1? Hmmm? Seems to be your M-O latetly.

just@regular.surfer:

I (for one) don't believe your post was deleted. My first post there was considered a total insult to that forum. You may still find it if you look far enough back. It was entitled "Swamp vs. Swamp". AFAIK, there is NO deletion on that forum. I got flamed, but there was absolutely NO deletion.

I'm not out to cause trouble. I saw it there yesterday and now it's gone. Could very well be just be par for the course on the internet. Things get lost, granted. But a part of me also thinks that it was one crack too many for Doc and he didn't like it. Your right, it wasn't nearly brazen enough to be considered nasty by most standards these days. But still, makes me go hmmm.

So post on BFI. Nothing has ever been deleted there, and it accepts anonymizer with no qualms. Monitor, heck, we haven't even had time to archive the old threads yet! Busy every weekend - and this one doesn't look any better.

I have personally seen a substantial portion of the sub-threads to a particular Debunky posting disappear -- I had read all of them, then several days later when I revisited the thread they were gone. However, it seems hard to believe that it was a case of deliberate deletion because remaining subthreads right next to the ones that disappeared were of the same general nature, content, and intensity. I had seen nothing in the subthreads that disappeared that seemed to warrant deletion.

My conclusion: it was a "computer error" (i.e., someone made a mistake :-) of some kind rather than a deliberate deletion.
