No offense taken there al-d. I believe the way I wish and you believe the way you do. I respect your beliefs, if you don't respect mine then that would fall on your shoulders.

Al-d:

Here's more encouragement for you:

17For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel--not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. 18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate." [3] 20Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. 26Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are, 29so that no one may boast before him. 30It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord." Golly, I can't think of a better spokesman for Jesus than ol' Al-D! Such sweeping vision, such perceptive powers of observation, and the literary prowess of an intelectual giant!

Yessiree bob, ol' al-d won me over, where do I sign?

Well Gawwwlllleeeey Unca Dee! Since when is ..."Such sweeping vision, such perceptive powers of observation, and the literary prowess of an intelectual giant! " required to recognize truth or practice faith? Oh wait, I get it, you are one of those truly intellectual giants that see so much more clearly than your average peon. Perhaps you are placed here as one of the anointed enlightened to guide us! (By the way Unca Dee, note the correct spelling for "intellectual". Meanwhile, we'll try to stumble along as best as we can in our limited and inferior way. How are those dogs today al-d?

Using religion is a trolls motto. al-d was found using rather foul language in previous threads. I see a hypocrite in al-d. I see someone who has found a family of abusive siblings to beat up on him as he must be quite familiar with. I do not wish to involve in a gangbang of al-d, but if I has an opportunity, I'd give him a swift kick and punch his lights out. al-d is a virus. He will need to be brave enough to recognise what he needs to do for the best interest of the forum. I doubt very seriously he will do much good for the forum since he seems denser than a doornail. His excuse to bring religion forth is sacreligious at best.

Okay, I admit that there are days when I try to skim the threads, read the knee-jerk bickering, and jump in to the verbal mud wrestling. Some people are so bullyish/rude/crude on the posts, and that always tends to get a reaction from me. I wonder what our communication would be like if we had to speak face to face. I'll try to take my own advice from an earlier post, and ignore the muck throwers.

-- Mumsie (Lotsakids@home.com), June 22, 1999.

I would have to agree with Feller on this one. al-d has sucked in a few, but I really tend to doubt that he is the 60 year old man he claims to be. More likely a college student on summer break with nothing better to do then stir up trouble. His puntuation is obvious. No one can screw up typing that much. He is nice enough to lead some folks to believe he is a good ole boy. If someone found out it was Y2K pro I wouldnt be surprised. How many times has he said he was going to quit posting here only to show up the next day? He will most likely reply to this with the same old song and dance; "I am just a 60 year old man that loves Jesus and is trying to help a few folks"

"Supremacy over others will never cause a man to find a change in himself;the greater his conquests the stronger is his confirmation of what his mind tells him---that there is no God other than his own power. And he remains separated from God, the Absolute Power. But when the same mind tells him that there is something which may be called God, and, further, when it prompts him to search for God that he may see Him face to face, he begins to forget himself and to forgive others for whatever he has suffered from them. And when he has forgiven everyone and has completely forgotten himself, he finds that God has forgiven him everything, and he remembers Who,in reality,he is." Meher Baba

I hate repeating my self but there is a forum for this and its called Pastor Chris. Although I believe al-d was kicked off that forum. Why is that Christians seem to be the only religion that rambles on and on. I never heard a Buddhist and seen a one force their beliefs on others.

-- Y2K Stud (Y2KStud@lover.com), June 22, 1999.

Sorry Mumsie!

I will admit to not being the worlds best speller myself, but you'll NEVER get me to admit to being an IDIOT who starts thread after thread after thread after thread after thread after thread after thread after thread after thread after thread of horseshit and nonsense.

Now before anyone craps themself, I'm not saying that religion is horseshit and nonsense, just that al-d's constant mental meanderings and the resultant posts are fair game for criticism. I have stated in the past, and do so now, that I believe even an idiot has a right to voice his opinion here.

But I do not believe that an idiot has a right to dominate the board with his delusions, and that includes me.

OOOOOOOOPPPPPPPSIE

I think I just admited I'm an idiot!

Golly Mumsie, ya got me!

Cheers!
