I believe that we all must prepare for a period of what will be a most tring time for most. But dont give up hope or serving others through you church. Dont be anxious for nothing it says in God's word But be thankful in all things. Be Thankful and enjoy your children,your spouse, your family and friends. They give life meaning. God intrusted you to love them, ask his guidence daily what would be best for them and how you should prepare. He may not want you to leave the place you are at or he may want you to leave your materialist stuff to safe guard your family. Watch and listen closely. God wont forsake you He knows How much you care or if you are selfish. God will show those who ask Him how to successfully prepare for y2k, who diligently seek and obey his word and guidence. We have VICTORY IN JESUS over y2k.

When ever there is a word of wisdom given through this thread, it is made fun of. Tell me again who's name do you call on when bad or tragic times come in your life and you can't take it much more? I call on Jesus and he is the only one that can help you in your situation. As the Lord to forgive you for your sins and to help you get through this time of transition (y2k) He will never leave you or forsake you.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom....Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Someday we will all know the truth about that part of things..and it will be to late for some to change. However, no matter what I believed, I would never mock God, for God is not mocked. He can level the playing ground pretty quick, no matter what you think. All the preps in the world for y2k won't help a lick if tornando's/hurricanes/etc strike. Everything you have done could be destroyed. Preparing but trusting in Jesus also!

Here's another one: If love is such a good thing, WHY are so MANY people completely consumed with hatred for themselves, other people, & all of creation?

As I see it: Only those folks who are filled with hatred will likely end up in hell.

Of course that doesn't answer either question, does it?
