I haven't absorbed it all yet, but it seems to confirm much of what Ed Yourdon said before he left the scene.

Just a few points to consider, as a start:

1. 86.6% of respondents are in the U.S. and Canada. There are only three from the Middle East, two from Japan, one from Russian/Eastern Europe.

2. The biggest single company category is information technology. We would expect them to be more aware of what is happening. There is only one railroad and one water company. (Who knows, maybe both of them are in Sweden.)

3. 34.1% are "not sure" of the status of their supply chain.

So how will this be presented - if at all - by the mainstream press and the Clinton administration?

Here's the link: http://www.peoplepolls.com/resultssecurity.asp ?surveyid=4&user=forum.

There's another thread on the poll: CIO Magazine, ISACA, & Dr. Ed Yardeni's Y2K Center Poll (June 18).
